Okay, I'm finally updating! Josh and I went on a tour of the east coast which was so fun! We're so thankful to be blessed with friends that live in each of the cities we visited so we didn't have to spend any money for hotels. (Thanks, guys!) Anyway, here are what everyone is looking for--pictures: First stop: Boston, MA (Hosts: Chris & Andrew) Chris, Josh, & Andrew at the Holocaust memorial:
Prozac (Andrew's dog) and Chris' dog (I forgot his name!)
Andrew and Chris took us to a "rooftop party" and here's the beautiful view:
Boston Duck Tour: here's our duck boat's reflection through a glass building. These vehicles were originally built to carry military supplies from water to land during WWII. Cool, huh?
Second stop: New York City (Host: Richard) Times Square:
Albert Einstein Medical College: Josh, Richard wearing his awesome T-shirt from us, Me. (Rich, thanks so much for opening your place for us and hanging out with us even though it was your finals week!!! You're so aweome! )
Serendipitiy: Michelle and her bf acting silly:
Double-date:
Artisanal: Mel & me. (Congratulations, again, for graduating from culinary school! I can't wait for you to cook for me on July 8th. hehe)
Les Miserables: Lea Salonga played the part of Fantine~! Ali Ewoldt (Cosette) was awesome, too! (This was the first play that made me cry!)
Third stop: Princeton, NJ (Host: Jay) One of the many gorgeous and expensive buildings at Princeton:
Josh & Jay having a relaxing conversation in the $1.1 million building:
I guess this is "art"-there are tables inside of this odd-shaped cave that they use for meetings:
We are officially "pooped" from the unfamiliar amount of walking by this day:
Josh getting chummy with the first dean of the graduate school at Princeton:
This is a picture of their dining area through a key hole. It reminds me of Harry Potter.
Mediterrea: Thanks, Jay, for your hospitality and treating us to scrumptious food!
Fourth stop: Baltimore, MD (Host: Jeah, Josh's younger sister) Washington Monument:
On top of the monument: it took us 250 steps to get up there!
O'Shea's: Hot wings and the best potato & cheddar cheese wontons
Thai dinner party: Jeah's so sweet. She made delicious Thai food for us and her friends. She sure made our stay feel like were were right at "home".
Crab cakes and raw oysters: Jeah took us to eat the best crab cakes and raw oysters around...mmmmm...
The Baltimore Museum of Art: here are some photos of josh doing a fantastic job at imitating sculptures:
Here is our "masterpiece" of our version of NYC :
Last, but not least: Washington, DC (Host: Jeana) Another double-date with Jeana and Nikko @ some restaurant right next to the Potomac River:
The Spy Museum:
Here's Josh doing what he knows best-eating! Our last meal:
Yay! Hooray to a wonderful and exciting trip (just what we both needed before school started)!
